Une rencontre entre deux univers

Tout a commencé par  une rencontre avec Peter Auto, lors du Mans classique. Après quelques appels, le projet prend forme : Amicalement Soi va créer une lavallière en soie personnalisée, offerte à chacune des participantes du Rallye des Princesses en Mai dernier. 

300 pièces. Entièrement fabriquées en France, roulottées à la main selon la tradition lyonnaise.

What is the Rallye des Princesses?

The Rallye des Princesses is an all-female elegance rally that runs from Paris to Saint-Tropez every year, aboard classic cars. To take part, crews drive vintage vehicles, often dating from the postwar era through the 1990s. The challenge isn't about speed, but about consistency, sticking to a precise route, and teamwork — which makes it as much a human adventure as an elegant one.

That's exactly what drew me to this project.

What I designed

For the lavallière, I wanted to capture the soul of the rally: the roads, the landscapes, the movement.

I wove into the motif the emblematic places the participants pass through — from Place Vendôme in Paris to the final stretches before Saint-Tropez, taking in some of France's most beautiful scenery along the way.

And of course, cars. I chose to slip in an Alfa Romeo, along with a few details the drivers know well.

Why this project meant so much to me

I've been making silk squares since the start of Amicalement Soi because I believe in objects that tell stories. The Rallye des Princesses is one of them — the story of women passionate about cars, crossing France together, in beautiful vehicles, with no stopwatch and no pressure.

There's something deeply consistent between that spirit and what I do: handcrafted pieces, made in France, that celebrate the moments that matter.

The silk lavallière as a travel companion ; I couldn't have dreamed of anything better.
