Lavallière Pays du Levant Red

I discovered Lebanon, I was stunned! I think I can say that everyone who has spent even a few hours in Lebanon understands my feeling. I arrived in Beirut one morning in October a few weeks after the terrible explosion of August 4th that severely affected the capital. I worked at the port’s construction sites during my stay & I am still moved by the strength and the hope that I could discover in the eyes of the Lebanese.

It is one of those trips that forge your destiny, Lebanon was for me. And it is through the drawings that I was able to sketch during my trip that I want to take you with me to the land of the Levant.

You can imagine the beauty of the places, but think of the smells that could be associated with these images, the thyme of a Manouche coming out of these big ancient ovens, the olive oil and the olive branch uncle keeps the smell on his finger tips

These few words are too few to transcribe this journey but my sketches will perhaps take you for a few seconds to the land of the rising sun.
