First exhibition in Rome for AMICALEMENT SOI, highlighting the savoir-faire à la française in the Eternal City.
For the windows of the French Institute Saint-Louis in Rome, the French designer, Angélique, proposes an original presentation of silk squares, accompanied by drawings of motifs. Through authenticity, ethics, sustainability and quality of craftsmanship, she questions the printing circuits in the fashion world.
Amicalement Soi is a silk square printed in France that perpetuates and revisits a regional know-how. “It is above all the story of a meeting with the Feinte family in Laval and the fabrics of Avesnières for a short and ethical fashion circuit. (Angélique Gruau)
Our scarves were on display for the whole month of October, between Piazza Navona and the Pantheon, at the French cultural centre in Rome. The aim of this project was to promote French culture internationally.
The choice of Rome for Amicalement Soi’s first exhibition was quite personal for Angélique, who is looking to deepen her knowledge of materials and fabric. By coming to Rome to study textile innovations at the Accademia de Costume e Moda, Angélique was able to combine learning and creation by launching her brand in a short and local circuit 100% made in France!
Thank you to Place Cavour and the Institut français Centre Saint-Louis for making this project possible. Grazie a tutti per la vostra presenza e il vostro sostegno!
